has to be good modern soul or 1970's disco or 1960's souland Motown if you can
dance to it, you have to play it. An ex red coat at Butlins and blue coat at
Pontins in the late 1970's.Tune in to hear your favourite artists such as the
Velvelettes and many more. I am happy to read out and play any requests and
dedications.
About Me:
I have been involved with Radio for the last 5 years
Passions: Making radio in it’s many different forms from music radio to
documentaries.
Favourite Music/Artists: I’m the type of person that likes music from all
years, but recently I have been into the classic rock of the 90s and early
noughties. The Darkness is a favourite.
Hobbies: Watching movies on streaming services as well as walks with my fiancé
and travelling to different parts of the world (even though at the moment I
can’t as I am saving up for our wedding).
Favourite things: Exploring the local area as well as travelling further
afield. I also like travelling to London to see musicals and gigs.

About Me:
Hello, I’m Karen, a young minded woman with a passion
for life! I love to put a smile on people’s faces, and I run an Entertainment
Business that allows me to do just that. Any excuse to dress up silly and make
a fool of myself really ! I appeared in some Pantomimes and Musicals and even
a play and loved doing them so would like to do more in the future. My latest
joy is making balloon animals and organic arches, I’m having lots of fun being
creative, a skill I never thought I could master.
Favourite Music/Artists: My favourite music is 80’s pop, but I’m a big fan of
70’s disco too and love songs from Musicals.
Hobbies: I love to sing, amateur dramatics when I find the time, arts and
crafts.
Favourite Things: I love animals and have two little Jack Russells and a Blue
and Gold Macaw, who is very talkative. I sometimes read out rescue animals on
my show, and I’m a member of the dogs trust.

The first ‘On The Wireless’ was broadcast on Radio in Salford every
Sunday between 4pm and 6pm
The music of the great rock bands of those early days will influence what you
hear but not to the exclusion of everything else. If I like it, I’ll play it!
Be prepared, too, to be bombarded with useless trivial facts with which to
amaze your friends – perhaps ‘amaze’ is not the right word………..
About Me: I'm thoroughly enjoying Rod Hardisty's choice of classics this morning. I don't get to hear Rod's show very often as I'm in my office editing programmes, but today I'm doing paperwork and have got the monitor speakers on. Fabulous show. Thanks Rod.

The principal technique for mixing music is beatmatching, in which Alice synchronizes the beats of two songs. Let's take a quick peek at some of these basic components. Beatmatching: This is a technique used to align the beats of two songs so that they are in sync with each other.
Be Happy
Like many other radio presenters of a 'certain age', I caught the radio ‘bug’ when I listened to the pirate radio stations in the sixties on my 'tranny'. The jingles were my favourite part and ‘Big L’ Radio London had the best ones. I never dreamed I'd have my own versions of them on my own show one day! It was all very exciting then, and it made me want to be a DJ myself. I used to practice ‘mixing’ music in my bedroom with just a Dansette record player and a small, reel-to-reel tape recorder!
